Work together in groups to reflect on new perspectives provoked by the outcome of game decisions

Data Generation

Get an overview of the choices made and actions taken in the games with the data tool

Three main concepts

Actee Change

Simulate a change process at the workplace and play change agent or decisionmaker. Move the change forward while you lead and motivate your stakeholders to follow along.

Actee Leadership

What's your personal style of leading, and how do you interact with other people when you have to reach new goals? Students can become more aware of their personal style and repetoire of decision-making and prepare for career and work life

Actee Communication

Get a first-hand experience with how different styles of communication can positively(or negatively) affect dialouge-based work. Students can get an insight into the power of relational communication and how different approaches can change the outcome of the conversation

About Actee

Facilitation

Teaching and facilitating with simulation games on the Actee Hub is an engaging way to motivate and involve the students in their own learning in class. The games work as tools to make theoretical learning more practice-oriented through relatable casework and decision-making, which moves learning closer to worklife.

Teaching or facilitating with games on the hub could typically involve these 4 steps:

Step 1

The teacher creates a session for the specific class and/or module with a so-called SessionBuilder tool provided online

Step 2

The teacher introduces relevant theory, which can include theory directly applied in the chosen game as well as related theory within the field

Step 3

All students are divided into groups, they onboard the CBS customized hub and begin playing and negotiating decisions

Step 4

Throughout the game play, the teacher gathers students' reflections and discussions around the physical floorboard in class or on a digital floorboard

Theory & Practice

ActeeChange Combines Theory and Practice At CBS we use ActeeChange to illustrate different dynamics and to discuss scenarios within change management. The game is based on some specific change management theories, which illustrate the thoughts that derive from the theories. It is a sensible game considering the theoretical assumptions behind it. The game is interactive and combines practice with theory, which contributes to heighten the quality of the teaching

Build our own game case

Besides the many game cases with different stories, subjects and learning focus, the Actee Hub enables teachers and students to build and customize their own game cases. In this way, new theories and cases can be applied to the game builder for involving lectures.

The game builder can also be used by the students as a group project or as part of an internship where the students build a simulation as part of an assignment product or presentation.
